Requirements
- Education: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field that focuses on understanding and assessing human behaviour.
- Experience: Experience in formally assessing human behaviour and in interviewing, motivating, counselling, making referrals or recommendations, and identifying needs for intervention.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide the progress of offenders through a progression from most restrictive to least restrictive controls and from institutions to community supervision.
- Ensure that legal and policy requirements for reintegration are met.
- Manage the reintegration of offenders throughout their sentences while trying to maintain public safety.
- Assess, analyze, and recommend potential transfer and release suitability of offenders.
- Observe and interpret the behaviour of offenders/parolees.
